Thank you for all of your sweet comments and messages about the Tropical Summer Soirée! It’s such a fun party theme! Today I’m sharing how to make the pineapple floral centerpiece. It’s really easy to make, and you are left with yummy pineapple slices to eat afterwards!
Items Needed
- Whole fresh pineapple
- Carving knife
- Large spoon or ice cream scoop
- Bowl for pineapple chunks
- Plastic cup
- Fresh floral bouquet (tropical favorites include birds-of-paradise, Hawaiian red ginger, and palm leaves)
- Scissors
Step 1
Cut off the top of the pineapple.
Step 2
Cut a circular hole in the pineapple. Leave enough skin on the sides and bottom, so that it will still stand firmly when hollowed. Use a knife and large spoon or ice cream scoop to carve and scoop out pineapple chunks.
Step 3
Place the plastic cup inside the pineapple. If needed, trim the top of the cup so that it cannot be seen and then add water.
Step 4
Trim your flowers to the correct height.
Step 5
Arrange the flowers in the cup. Layer them in one at a time, paying attention to height and width. Zhush until they look great!
Here’s how to Host a Tropical Soirée, in case you missed it. Have a great weekend!
xx,
